How to convert a PDF into an HTML and place it into an email

Convert your PDF

There are two ways to convert, either export your .pdf with Adobe Acrobat:

  1. Open your .pdf in Adobe
  2. Select "Export PDF"
  3. In the drop down menu, select to export your pdf into an html document

Or, if you don't have Adobe Acrobat/Adobe DC purchased, you can use one of many digital conversion sites online.

Place into a LionDesk Email

You will now open your new html file in your web browser and copy its source code.

For Google Chrome (recommended):

  1. Right click on the html webpage and select "View page source"
  2. Then type "Ctrl+A" to select all the code, and then "Ctrl+C" to copy it

For Safari:

  1. Click on Safari menu > Preferences > Advanced
  2. Check "Show Develop menu in menu bar"
  3. Close the Preferences window
  4. Go to the Develop menu > Show Page Source
  5. Then type "Ctrl+A" to select all the code, and then "Ctrl+C" to copy it

Now that you have your html page's code copied, paste it into a LionDesk email template's source area.

  1. Go to the Marketing area of LionDesk and select "Create email template"
  2. In the toolbar, select the "source" button. This will take you to the source area.
  3. Type "Ctrl+V" to paste your html's source into the source window
  4. Select "OK." The html's source will translate into an embedded webpage in your LionDesk email template.
