Organizing by first name

1- The ability to organize your contacts by first name is on your default contacts table. Simply click the "Name" column to sort your contacts alphabetically, and click it again to sort them reverse alphabetically. 


Organizing by last name

1- To organize your contacts by last name, you must first create a last name column on your contacts table. Click the green "Columns" button.

2- A window will appear, here is where you can find all the columns you can customize your contacts table with. On the left list select "Last Name" and then select "Update Table".

3-Now on your contacts table you can select the "Last Name" column to organize your contacts!


Column Customization In The Contacts Page

If you have information in your contact profiles that you need to be able to search by (such as birthday, spouse name, or anniversary) you can modify your Contacts Page so that it becomes a searchable field.

 For this example, we will create a new column for searching by spouse names

1- Go to the "Contacts" page in LionDesk.

  • For this example, Phil Dunphy is the primary contact, and Claire Dunphy is his spouse.
  • You'll see below that when I search his name, this is all that appears.

2- Click the "Columns" button.

3- "Customize Table Columns" will appear.

  • Search for the field you would like to add, in this case, "Spouse Name." If you hover over the field, a green plus sign will appear. Click that, and you will move "Spouse Name" over from "Available" to "Selected."
  • Once "Spouse Name" is under "Selected," click "Update Table."


4- Your table will now show "Spouse Name" as a column.

5- Now, if you search "Claire Dunphy" in the Contacts search bar, you will be able to see her name and Phil's contact information.
